Q: What leadership opportunities do you have?
A: SWIB provides leadership opportunities through Project Manager positions and through Executive Board positions. A new team is selected at the end of the school year. Check out our team page to see our current SWIB leadership.
Q: When does SWIB meet?
A: SWIB meets most Tuesdays. Occasionally there will be weeks were we do not have meetings or attendance is not required at a meeting. The calendar is sent out to members at the beginning of each semester.
Q: How many members are in SWIB?
A: Although numbers vary per semester there are typically around 100 members of SWIB at a time.
Q: As a new member, how do I get to know current members?
A: There are lots of opportunities to get to know members during your first semester of SWIB. Each meeting every member is placed next to a different member in an effort to encourage our members to branch out and meet new people in the organization. We also have a variety of optional events like Lunch and Learns, office hours with exec, and membership events (brunch mixer, Loft shopping event) that all help our members get to know each other better.
Q: Do members receive work opportunities from SWIB?
A: Yes, many of our members have gotten either internships positions or full time jobs with either our sponsors or with companies our members have connections at.
